"Families asked to share memories -
A CITY University student is inviting families to share their special memories for an online Islington history project. Daniel Parker is asking people to visit Islington Museum, in St John Street, Finsbury, on Saturday, February 26 between 10am and 5pm, with a family member and an object that will help them recall a special memory. The interviews with families from Islington will be recorded for a website which aims to revive the history of the borough. Islington Family History Day

Welcome to Our Story Islington, an audio archive project aimed to preserve family history from the community of Islington. Do you live, work, study or have a connection with the Islington area? If so, we want to hear from you; bring a family member to our "Islington Family History Day" on February 26th, at the Islington Museum (10 am-5 pm) to record a memorable family event. Your story will then be added to the Our Story Islington archive, available via a website, which is scheduled to launch in July 2011.

Check back for updates. Coming soon - a sample of an audio recording between father and son. If you have any questions, please email us at ourstoryislington@gmail.com.
